What We Do

The “Min Shemaya” Fund has a wide-scale vision, including support and assistance for different population sectors at all ages, from dental services for children to support for needy families and Holocaust survivors.

 

The fund has several main sectors and general objectives which it focuses upon:

 

CHILDREN IN DISTRESS

The foundation will support:

  • orphaned and needy children from families in economic distress in all they require for their proper development
  • the establishment and renovation of educational institutions for their students’ education and welfare
  • financing tuition payments for needy and orphaned children
  • the homes of orphaned children and institutions operating humanitarian projects for these children
  • those organizations that make bar/bas mitzvah celebration for needy children
  • orphaned and needy children by covering the costs of their medical treatments

 

FAMILIES IN DISTRESS

The foundation will support:

  • organizations providing food packages to needy families
  • needy and disabled people with medical assistance
  • organizations offering professional training and guidance to needy families on how to strengthen their financial condition

 

HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS

The foundation will support organizations assisting Holocaust survivors with food, medicine, and nursing services.

 

CONDITIONS FOR ORGANIZATIONS APPLYING FOR FOUNDATION SUPPORT

  • At least two years of proven experience in the requested field
  • Authorization of proper accounting records
  • A comprehensive program including clear objectives and a detailed budget
  • Proof of financial ability to raise at least 40% of its project budget from other sources

All applications must be submitted one month before the meeting of the fund’s administrative board.

 

“MIN SHEMAYA” ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE

The administrative board meets three times a year to consider the various requests and projects scheduled for the upcoming period. Meetings are held on February 10, June 10, and September 10.
